Our story
Dasha and Daria built The Nail Story around a single conviction: nail work is technical work. Not decoration applied over a rushed cuticle, but a trained, repeatable process — the nail plate prepared properly, the skin refined rather than cut, colour sitting flush at the base and growing out clean.
That standard was hard to hire for, so they taught it. BeProfi Academy trains Russian manicure technicians across New Zealand, and the strongest graduates join the salon floor. It is why the standard holds no matter whose chair you sit in.
Today the studio runs seven days from Victoria Park Market, offering nails, skin and body treatments under one roof and one standard.

PRECISION IS
THE WHOLE CRAFT
At The Nail Story, every service begins with the nail plate, not the colour. We work dry, with an electric file, so the cuticle line is refined rather than cut and the skin is left intact.
That precision is what makes the finish last. Colour sits flush at the base with no gap, and the work grows out clean over three to four weeks instead of lifting at two.
Hygiene is part of the technique, not a policy on the wall. Tools are sterilised, single-use items are single-use, and the standard does not shift between technicians.
We train the people who work here. BeProfi Academy is our own school, which is why the same method, the same preparation and the same finish reach every chair in the studio.
